My Design Philosophy
The following 3 are the guidelines I follow while designing your resume:
DesignThe most critical design mantra is to keep it simple and succinct. Busy recruiters don't have time to go through too many pages. I keep the design simple and keep away from colour, embolden headings and titles to ensure they stand out and use easy to read font. I keep plenty of white space and wide margins which allows recruiters to make notes specially while interviewing you. Use of colour and graphics is overrated. In reality the simpler your resume, the better. Prospective employers will not print out your resume in colour and hence, using too much colour is really a waste. Yes you do want you resume to be visually appealing and that can be achieved via a simple but elegant design. It is important that it is appealing when printed out since even in this day and age of online presence, recruiters still prefer to go through hard copies. There are several good templates available online and if you don't like the one I use for you, I can certainly select another one or provide you with options to pick from.

ContentWhile a basic but good resume contains a list of your responsibilites, duties and experience, an exceptional one will list all this along with your career objectives, skills, achievements, awards, qualifications and referee details. I will be able to collect this information either from your current resume or by asking you relevant questions. This way you can focus on your job search while I provide you with this critical tool to apply for them.

Key wordsOften recruiters look for key words instead of reading the entire resume. They are busy and this is an easy way to shortlist candidates. I know these key words and how to insert them into the body of your resume so you most definitely will get shortlisted for a meeting/interview. These are tips and tricks that I have learnt over the years and via career counselling and I can use these skills to help you get the job you want.
